Tikata participated in Junior Internatia Song Contest only once, in first edition.
On 8 January 2014, RTRT announced that is not happy with concept of jISC and Tikata will withdraw from contest completely, despite previous intention to participate in first 3 editions of contest. Privet broadcaster A+ expressed interest in joining jISC.[1]
There was some debate on whether Tikata could return to jISC in 5th edition.[2] This however did not materialise, and Tikata remained out of the contest.
On 3 July 2014 RTRT confirmed their return in 7th edition in Lillatown, Luzze.[3]
