Asankon is participating in the Outernatia Song Contest 45 in Xayyagar, Mărium with the song "I Believe You" by FLETCHER.

Before the Contest

The broadcaster confirmed participation shortly after proceeding with hosting the 44th contest. It was announced that the entry would be determined via internal selection. Many rumours began circulating about who would potentially repreresent the nation and weeks before the song announcement, the final shortlist leaked. The songs included on that shortlist were

MNEK - Tongue
Hannah Jane Lewis - Aftershock
Josephina - Feelings
Allison Wonderland - Church

The broadcaster had allegedly selected 'Church' from this shortlist however it was announced on 12 March 2018 that a different song would represent the nation in Xayyagar, "I Believe You" by American artist FLETCHER.
